Fredericton’s own Hot Toddy teamed up in 1997, before releasing a string of albums that took them on tour across Canada and Europe, and earned them the 2007 Canadian Maple Blues Award winners for Acoustic Act of the Year. Known for their diverse musicality that dips into folk, jazz and blues, Hot Toddy became one of Atlantic Canada’s premier acoustic groups. The trio includes acclaimed musicians and singer-songwriters Joel LeBlanc (electric guitar, harmonica and vocals), Thom Swift (acoustic guitar, dobro and vocals), and Tom Easley (acoustic bass and vocals). After going on hiatus for ten years, the trio reunited for a heartfelt and infectious performance at Harvest’s 25th Anniversary festival, where the audience welcomed them back with long and enthusiastic applause. These days, the musicians still come together to put on a few lives shows each year.
