Halifax’s The Jimmy Swift Band reunite to bring their acclaimed live show back to the Harvest Jazz and Blues festival on Thursday, September 15th. JSB stopped performing in 2011 – leaving behind a legacy of over a thousand live performances, numerous awards, and a dedicated fan base across Canada and beyond.
The Jimmy Swift Band’s sound is a fusion or rock and electronica – the result is the creation of something refreshingly different, a style uniquely JSB. Their live show is a frenzy of sweat, dancing, and thrashing – all to hypnotic rhythms and an unrelenting energy that is both addictive and unstoppable.
On stage The Jimmy Swift Band’s tireless energy was always focused on the audience – on turning a Saturday night concert into an unforgettable experience. They return to the stage at Harvest in support of their long-time sound man Ron Anonsen—who was in a serious motorcycle accident in Los Angeles in late spring. Ron was instrumental to the JSBs live sound for much of their career, and fans are encouraged to support the cause by donating to this GO FUND ME that was created to support his recovery, or by picking up merchandise at the show.
