Harvest Music Festival Announces Spectacularly Stacked 2022 Edition

The Harvest Music Festival has shared a spectacularly stacked 2022 line-up, announcing Grammy winning rockers The War On Drugs, CanRock icons Blue Rodeo, eight piece Alabamian soul sensation St. Paul & The Broken Bones, storied Indigenous singer-songwriter William Prince, and many more. Harvest celebrates its 31st Anniversary edition this September 13-18 in beautiful and historic Downtown Fredericton.

Also included in today’s announcement were the returns of longtime festival favorites JJ Grey & Mofro, The Record Company, Kathleen Edwards, and Andy Frasco & The U.N., plus the Harvest debuts of The Slip and TWRP, and a special reunion performance from Hot Toddy. These names and more join previously announced artists: The Sheepdogs, Trouble No More, Bettye LaVette, Amanda Shires, Shemekia Copeland, Nikki Yanofsky, Larkin Poe, Celisse, Sugaray Rayford, and Terra Lightfoot.

“Jumping off of last year’s tremendously moving return to presenting Harvest live and in-person, this schedule pairs bucket-list performers and festival favorites with buzz bands and rising stars, once again cementing us as Eastern Canada’s premiere musical event,” said Brent Staeben, Harvest’s Music Programmer. “We’re so very proud to bring this phenomenal array of international talent to Downtown Fredericton this September.”

Harvest passes will go on sale Tuesday April 12 at 11 a.m. AST. Individual ticket sales will follow Thursday April 14 at 11 a.m. Both tickets and passes can be purchased through TicketPro.ca or by calling 1-888-311-9090 as of their respective on-sale dates. Please note that tickets and passes are not available for purchase in person or by phone at the Harvest office. The 2022 schedule will feature a Blues Tent behind City Hall, a newly redesigned Barracks Stage in the Historic Garrison District, shows at the Playhouse, a pubs and clubs series, performances at the Hilton Stage and in the Tannery, as well as free programming throughout Downtown Fredericton.

“Building on the momentum of last year’s 30th Anniversary, we’re thrilled to bring a new, expanded version of the Barracks Tent online for 2022, along with the reintroduction of our nightly passes and Stephen Lewis’ Big Fun Weekend Pass,” said Staeben. “We’ll also be expanding our traditional Barracks programming to include a blistering new blues series with award-winning American blues musicians like Sugaray Rayford, Vanessa Collier, Duke Robillard, and more,” he said.

Harvest will comply with any and all public health measures in place at the time of the event. Mask wearing is encouraged in all venues, and Harvest reserves the right to make changes to its community safety policy, including the reinstatement of masks and vaccination/test requirements, should new directives or recommendations be issued by the Government of Canada, Province of New Brunswick, or City of Fredericton.

“We’ll continue to work with our government partners and industry stakeholders throughout the summer, to ensure we provide a safe experience for artists, patrons, staff, and volunteers this September,” said Jeff Richardson, Harvest General Manager. “We’ve been monitoring best practices across North America, and will be adjusting our requirements as is deemed necessary.”
