VOLUNTEER MANAGER

About the Role
Every year, the Harvest Music Festival brings together hundreds of volunteers to help make magic happen in downtown Fredericton. We are seeking a motivated and organized Volunteer Manager to join our seasonal team and support the recruitment, coordination, and appreciation of our volunteer force.
As Volunteer Manager, you will work closely with the Volunteer Committee and team leads to:
- Coordinate recruitment activities (e.g., markets, pop-ups, community events)
- Maintain and update our volunteer database using Bloomerang Volunteer software
- Liaise with committee leads to ensure volunteer schedules and shift needs are accurate
- Serve as the main contact for volunteers—answering questions, providing support, and ensuring a positive experience
- Brainstorm and help implement new ways to recognize and appreciate volunteers
- Perform administrative tasks including data entry and shift tracking

LOGISTICS COORDINATOR

About the Role
The Harvest Music Festival is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented youth (aged 30 or under) to join our team as Logistics Coordinator for the 2025 Festival. Reporting to the Festival Operations Manager, this role is key to ensuring the seamless planning and execution of festival operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly, and takes initiative.
This position offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in event logistics, operations planning, and community engagement as part of one of Atlantic Canada’s largest music festivals.
What You’ll Do
You’ll support the day-to-day planning and coordination of key logistics and festival operations, including:
- Assisting with vehicle rentals, parking plans, and delivery schedules
- Supporting communication systems and distributing equipment
- Participating in planning sessions and permit tracking
- Coordinating signage and venue setup needs
- Managing inventory, supply orders, and Harvest-owned equipment
- Liaising with vendors, suppliers, and contracted labour
- Supporting administrative functions such as database management, phone inquiries, and public communication
- Collaborating with the Festival Operations Manager and Volunteer Committee to develop volunteer roles and deployment
- Assisting onsite during the festival, including setup, troubleshooting, and venue support
- Performing other duties as assigned to support festival operations
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a team player who is dependable, adaptable, and ready to roll up their sleeves. Ideal candidates will bring the following:
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities under pressure
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working both in an office and outdoors at festival sites
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends, especially during the event
- Physical ability to lift up to 15 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
- Prior experience in events or festival operations (an asset)
- Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an asset
